About

Currently based in Naples, Italy, I am a freelance photographer with a background in the design industry.

After obtaining a bachelor's degree in Automotive and Transportation Design at IED (Istituto Europeo di Design in Turin, Italy) and almost ten years collaborating with high-level professionals in the industry, I entirely devoted myself to photography.

For the past years, I have been covering humanitarian and social issues working alongside NGOs reporting on healthcare centres’ activities dedicated to the assistance of the communities in need from West African countries.

Through the years this experience has given me the knowledge and valuable perspective in humanitarian emergency situations and a broader understanding of the importance of sustainable community development programs, especially those concentrating on healthcare assistance.

In 2020 my work on mental illness ‘Out of Mind’ has been selected to be exhibited at the Head On Photo Festival 2020 in Sydney, Australia.

In 2019 some of my works have been awarded Honourable Mentions at the International Photography Awards (IPA) in Editorial/Press, Photo Essay, Feature Story, Deeper Perspective, Event, Traditions and Cultures categories.

In 2018, I had been selected as Semi-finalist for the Head On Photo Festival in Sidney, Australia in the Head On Portrait Prize category, and Shortlisted in the Photography category for Creativepool Annual 2018, The Global Creative Industry Network.

In 2017, I had been featured on Getty Reportage / Getty Images social platforms for the visual storytelling about the “Septennial Rites of Penance” reportage, category news, and I had been chosen as one of the winners of Swap Shop with Magnum Photos in the photography category and selected to be a part of the print-swap launch exhibition at ‘theprintspace’ Gallery in London

Through the course of 2015 and 2016, the collaborations with NGOs resulted in several photography exhibitions and a publication of a book.
